I sit and watch the water glisten in the midday sun
And wonder what the waves are whispering about.
Each swell, seeming to emerge out of nothing
Suddenly embodies a Will of its’ own.
With a single-pointed ambition I cannot help but envy,
They glide across one another,
Cresting in a tender spray that soothes my heart,
A never ending dance of Perfect Bliss.
Oh little wave, you couldn’t possibly know
from within all that crashing chaos
the divine appointment that lies behind the Call
pulling you forward, into the swell.
But I can see.
For in each of you I see the sparkle of the Divine
reflected back at me
In a sea of Light.
